A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to hold onto, usually so it can recognise you on your next visit. Sayansia sets very few, and this page lists all of them.
The cookies
| Cookie | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in. Set by Supabase, our authentication provider, once you log in. | Up to 1 week |
| _ga | Google Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another, so a repeat visit counts as one person rather than two. | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics. Tracks session state — which pages you open and how long a visit lasts. | Up to 2 years |
The two Google Analytics cookies are set on every visit, including inside the app once you're signed in. Neither is linked to your name, email, or your Sayansia account — Google Analytics sees pages and timing, not who you are. We keep Google Signals and ad personalization switched off for this property, so none of it is used to build an advertising profile of you or follow you onto other sites. See our Privacy Policy for the fuller picture of what we hold and why.
Controlling cookies
Your browser can block or delete cookies directly — Settings → Privacy in most browsers — which works regardless of what any site asks for. Blocking the Supabase cookie means you can't stay signed in; blocking the Google Analytics ones has no effect on how the site works, since nothing here depends on them.
